Sat at the back of Manchester Cathedral in the pews with Don last night.watching Warren Ellis (A Grinderman..a thoroughly Bad Seed) Drinking Wine&lager .........
He walked onstage, looked up at the cathedral ceilings, and said, "Isn't this what got Pussy Riot in trouble?"
A strange setting to see someone whose mean fiddle playing seemed to be conjuring up somebody's Old God ! An excellent if,albeit ,unusual setting.............At one point during the gig I was queuing outside the cathedral at the porto-loos.....The noise inside was making the Stain Glass Windows Shake& vibrate!
I took a wee bit of audio too! I will download soon.In the meantime........

Last week I saw Ralph Stanley and The Who (not on the same bill). Ringo Jr. plays the drums well.
